Representatives of the Parliamentary Reform Bloc met with the people of Zarqa Governorate in a dialogue meeting on Tuesday evening, sponsored by the Islamic Movement.
The meeting was opened by the head of the Islamic Action Front party in Zarqa, MP Muhammad Abu Saalik, who reviewed some of the bloc’s activities and talked about the role of its president, MP Saleh al-Armouti, who participates in all parliamentary sessions and has interventions in every legal debate under the dome of the parliament.
In his turn, Representative Saleh Al-Armouti said that the Islamic movement was an adult movement that was never only with the homeland, and it is a symbol of stability in light of the fierce attack the region is facing and the very difficult economic, political and social conditions.
Al-Armouti affirmed that the nation needs the reform bloc, which did not stop working under the dome of the House of Representatives. The bloc presented draft laws that the government was unable to present, and it had contributions to every bill that was put forward in the parliament.
He pointed out that the bloc is a legislative and oversight vanguard that is respected inside and outside the parliament, and its primary goal is to convey the voice of the citizen and stand with him loudly and resoundingly, and we are one team with one goal.
Al-Armouti spoke about a fierce Zionist attack against Jordan represented by the deal of the century, energy agreements, and the Aqaba meeting, all of which constitute a great burden on the country and cannot be tolerated. For every Jordanian, whatever his religion and drink.
And he indicated that this visit is the fourth to the governorates, explaining that the representatives of the Islah bloc are representatives of the homeland and not only representatives of departments.
Al-Armouti said that the visit included several meetings, including the mayor, the Hashemite University and others, with the aim of harmony with the pulse of the national street.
Representative Armouti called for not underestimating the importance of participation in the political process, especially in this difficult circumstance, due to the importance of conveying the voice of the citizen, calling on citizens to present their suggestions, grievances and complaints to the representatives of the bloc on a permanent basis and not only in meetings.
The bloc’s deputies listened to citizens’ observations, complaints and suggestions.
Representative Saleh Al-Armouti, Muhammad Abu Sa’ilik, Winal Freihat, Musa Hantash, Adnan Mashuqa and Ayoub Khamis participated in the meeting.
The attendees read Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs in Palestine, Jerusalem and all parts of the Arab and Islamic world.
The bloc’s deputies, along with other deputies, met with the governor of Zarqa, the Zarqa Governorate Council, the municipal council and the Hashemite University, where the deputies listened to the achievements and the difficulties faced by these authorities in providing services to the citizen within the governorate.
