Allocations for the item “expenses of goods and services” in the National Assembly budget for the year 2023 increased by about 31 percent, according to the draft law on the state’s general budget for next year.

The National Assembly allocated an amount of one million dinars and 355 thousand dinars for expenses of goods and services for the year 2023, while the allocations for the same item in the 2022 budget were 935 thousand dinars, an increase of 420 thousand dinars.

Traveling on official missions

In its budget for the next year, the Council allocated an amount of one million and 900 thousand dinars for the item of travel on official missions, while an amount of 3 million and 890 thousand was allocated for the employee bonuses item.

According to the figures, the amount allocated to the employee bonuses item increased by 300,000 dinars, or by about 7.7 percent.

Stationery and publications

The amount allocated in the draft budget law for the item of cleaning and supplies – including cleaning contracts – reached 350,000 dinars, while an amount of 65,000 dinars was allocated for stationery, publications and office supplies, according to the figures.

As for the fuel item, the amount allocated for it in the council’s budget amounted to 171 thousand dinars, 370 thousand dinars for the electricity item, and 45 thousand dinars for water.

With regard to the allowances, the Council’s budget for the year 2023 specified an amount of one million and 392 thousand for the item of the personal cost of living allowance, and an amount of 160 thousand dinars for the family cost of living allowance.

An amount of 560 thousand dinars was allocated for the item of overtime allowance, and an amount of one million 307 thousand dinars for the additional bonus item, in addition to an amount of 265 thousand dinars for the transportation allowance, and 85 thousand dinars for the item of transportation allowance.

The allocations of the National Assembly, in the draft state budget law for the year 2023, amounted to 26 million and 329 thousand dinars, according to the figures monitored by “Roya”.
