Temperatures in Beijing have reached record levels, prompting residents to adopt a new beachwear called the “viskini”, which covers the entire face to protect it from the sun, according to Sky News.

The British newspaper “The Guardian” shed light on the latest fashion in China, and said, “The visconi is popular, as it reduces the brunt of the heat, with the temperature in Beijing exceeding 35 degrees Celsius, while the surface temperature in some parts of the country has reached 80 degrees Celsius.”

The newspaper said that “residents and visitors to Beijing are now using hats containing fans, and covering their entire bodies so as not to be exposed to burns due to the sun’s rays.”

The “viscini” is a full face cover with slits for the eyes and nose.

Attached with separate sleeves to cover the arms.

Add a wide-brimmed hat.

Provides lightweight jackets made of UV-resistant fibers.

Li Suyan, 17, a student visiting a tourist area in Beijing with her mother, says her biggest fear is possible skin diseases or sunspots on her face. The two women were wearing masks that covered most of their faces.

And Chinese state television published videos showing tourists taking “selfies” next to a thermometer, showing that the temperature reached 80 percent in northwest China’s Xinjiang Province.
