A Hebrew newspaper revealed that the Israeli occupation authorities are seeking and planning to control the real estate and property of Palestinians in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

And “Israel Today” clarified in its main news, prepared by Ariel Kahane, that there are “disagreements in the board of directors of the Jewish National Fund (Keren Kemet to Israel “Kakal”), after attempts to obstruct the decision to settle the lands that Jews “purchased” (according to their claim) throughout the city. Quds”.

She noted that “in recent months, the professional level in the National Fund has been conducting a detailed study of the locations and size of the lands that the Fund “purchased” over the years, but it was not registered in the Land Registry Department.”

The study carried out by the settlement fund showed that “thousands of dunams in the Negev and in Jerusalem that were “purchased” by the sub-companies (fake to cover their true identity) to the National Fund were not registered in the Land Registry.

In order to complete the Israeli control over these real estate and Palestinian lands, the Jewish Fund is working to register these lands in the Land Registry Department in the name of the Fund, and for this purpose, “it submitted to the Fund’s Board of Directors a draft resolution to conduct a detailed study over five years at a cost of 100 million shekels (about $31 million). To handle 17,000 files throughout the country (occupied Palestine) that have not been processed in the last ten years.”

In addition to the above, “the fund has arrived, under a directive from the general trustee in the Ministry of Justice, to take over the administration of the lands belonging to it in East Jerusalem,” according to the newspaper, which indicated that “there is talk of 2,000 plots of land extending over an area of about 2,500 dunams,” in Areas occupied by Israel after 1967.

Israel Today claimed that “the Jews purchased these lands before the establishment of Israel,” noting that “the Kingdom of Jordan administered these lands instead of the state until the 1967 war, and since then it has been under the administration of the general trustee, but recently the circles of the trustee’s office explained, that It does not have the tools to manage those lands.”

She added: “For these reasons, a proposal was put before the fund’s board of directors in its previous session, about a month ago, to approve the settlement process, but it seems that there was an attempt to obstruct it, and in the deliberations that will take place today, the issue will be raised again on the table.”

Representatives of the Peace Now movement and Ir Amim stressed that what is being talked about regarding the settlement of registration of these lands in the Land Registry, “will lead to the mass eviction of the Palestinian residents from their homes throughout Jerusalem.”

Their letter to the fund stated: “This is the same legislation that forms the basis for the eviction lawsuits that now threaten more than 200 families in Palestinian neighborhoods around the Old City of Jerusalem, which puts entire communities at risk of eviction.”

The letter continued, “The fund plans to start registration procedures for 2,500 dunams inside Jerusalem only, and lays the foundations for thousands of additional potential eviction lawsuits,” noting that “the gravity and depth of injustice that this work could cause by the fund cannot be underestimated.”

In an indication of the occupation’s intention to move forward with its plan to seize Palestinian real estate in Jerusalem, Yonatan Tal, General Manager of “Attakatlon Forum” said: “If this was a commercial company, none of the board members would have thought of working against registering property and making profits for the company, delaying An additional decision means an additional loss for the fund and for the Jewish public.”
