The head of the Jordanian Restaurant and Sweets Owners Syndicate, Omar Al-Awwad, said that there are intensive efforts to follow up on the commercial movement and the accompanying demands and field follow-ups by the union for the various sectors that belong to the union, including popular restaurants, sweets shops and others.

He added that there was an increase in demand for all items before and during the feast, but without reflecting the increased demand on the profits of restaurant owners, due to an increase in preparation materials ranging between 40-70%, which makes the restaurant sector work for free.

And he indicated that the sector warned of high prices, and placed it before the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali, calling on the ministry to take measures to protect the sector.
