“Education”: We are keen on the return of face-to-face education

The Ministry of Education affirmed its keenness to provide a safe and healthy educational environment for a formal return to schools on February 20.

This came during the Minister of Education, Dr. Wajih Owais, chairing the meeting of the expanded planning committee today, Saturday, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh and Dr. Najwa Qabilat, during which she discussed the progress of the student vaccination campaign and the readiness of schools for the second semester.

Owais stressed the importance of following up on the vaccination campaign implemented by the ministry through the centers that were opened in cooperation with the Ministry of Health in all education directorates, noting that the ministry is also implementing a media campaign to encourage students to receive the vaccine and raise awareness of the need to follow proper health procedures and abide by defense orders related to the matter. He pointed out that the ministry is following through the operations room the progress of the vaccination campaign and monitoring cases of infection among students and administrative and educational cadres in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Digital Economy and the National Center for Crisis Management.

Owais indicated that the epidemiological situation calls for concerted efforts to break the epidemiological curve, which is witnessing an escalation these days, expressing the ministry’s confidence in this regard of the great awareness of its cadres in the center and the field; Administrators, teachers and students.

He also stressed the ministry’s keenness to improve the educational process in its various aspects, pointing to the role of the educational leader and the role model in managing change, building a system of noble values ​​for generations, and adopting development and improvement plans that the ministry is working to implement with the highest levels of interest, noting that our Jordanian teacher has always proven His ability to work professionally and professionally in carrying out this mission.

Owais added that the ministry is also keen to provide quality education and achieve justice in providing educational service to students in all regions of the Kingdom, pointing to the role of teachers and school administrations in achieving this goal by disseminating success stories and transferring pioneering experiences between schools in this field.

He congratulated the new directors of education, expressing his confidence that they would be a qualitative addition in the management of the educational field, wishing success for the educators who recently retired.

In turn, the two general secretaries confirmed the readiness of the schools to receive students in person on the twentieth of this month, while the students of the second secondary “Tawjihi” and the international program students began their work in face at the beginning of this month, where the teams of the Ministry and the educational supervision teams follow on a daily basis the progress of work in schools and provide support to teachers and administrations school as they continue their preparations for the beginning of the second semester.

The minister and the two general secretaries listened to the observations and inquiries of the directors of education related to work in the schools affiliated with their directorates and ways to overcome challenges and turn them into opportunities for improvement, especially with regard to dissolving appendages and school maintenance and cleanliness.
