The Islamic movement in the Sweileh area organized a protest sit-in on Tuesday evening, rejecting the agreement to declare normalization intent with the occupation, with the participation of a number of notables from the region, representatives and leaders of the Islamic movement.

The participants chanted against normalization with the occupation, rejecting what they described as plans to liquidate the Palestinian cause from the gateway to normalization, and they also burned the entity’s flag.

In his speech, the representative of the Reform bloc, Yanial Al-Fraihat, said that this agreement represents the dependence on the occupation by exchanging water for energy and electricity, and it is rejected by all the free people of Jordan, led by the people of the Sweileh area.

Freihat added that these agreements have a literal and practical meaning that the land of Jordan is handed over to Netanyahu, Bennett and other leaders of the occupation, and they are now controlling the Jordanian electricity sector, and today they want to control the Jordanian water tap.

He stressed that the Jordanians will not allow the passage of this agreement, even on our bodies, for the Wadi Araba agreement was the normalization of governments, and this agreement is an attempt to bring the Zionist entity into the Jordanian home.

He pointed out that any Arab country wanted to support Jordan, so welcome, but by preserving the dignity of Jordan and Jordanians, and not linking us with the occupation and attempts to bring the Jordanian people to their knees, so we say to you “you broke it” and the agreement will not pass.

Freihat explained that we have two options to drop the agreement; The first is through the constitutional option, and if the agreement passes through the House of Representatives, we will take to the streets and not go back to our homes until the agreement falls.

He said that our rejection of this agreement is a defense of Jordan and Palestine.
