The star and captain of the Argentine national team, Lionel Messi, suffered an injury during the Venezuela match in the qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar, after an intervention from Adrian Martinez, the Venezuelan player, who participated as an emergency substitute in the 25th minute.

Martinez intervened strongly on Messi’s knee, to decide the match referee, Yodan Gonzalez, to show the yellow card, but after reviewing the video technology, he returned to announce the direct red card.

According to the Argentine “Tyc” channel, Messi suffered a wound below the knee, but fortunately for him the wound was superficial, and perhaps this intervention would have caused the flea more complications.

Messi continued the whole match after receiving the necessary treatment, and contributed to Tango achieving victory and collecting the three points, after winning three goals against a goal.
