France 24 hosted, in an exclusive interview, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, during his participation in the Munich Security Conference, who confirmed that his attendance came at an official invitation on behalf of his forces. Abdi revealed that the path of military integration, according to the January 29 agreement, stipulates the formation of four brigades in coordination with the Ministry of Defense, while the civil and security administration in the Kurdish-majority areas remains in the hands of its people within the Syrian state. He acknowledged the existence of challenges that may hinder the agreement, stressing that they will not be the cause of its failure, and demanding constitutional guarantees for Kurdish rights, and holding those responsible for violations accountable, while adhering to the ceasefire and dialogue in order to preserve the unity of Syria.
