Ammon – The Eye on Jerusalem program, which was broadcast on Jordanian television yesterday, Monday, shed light on the efforts and preparations of the Jerusalem Endowments Directorate to prepare the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to receive worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the program report prepared in Jerusalem, the Endowments Department has fully completed its preparations to receive the guests of God in the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and continues to work around the clock with all its capacity in order for the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to be a place of worship and reverence during the Holy Month, despite the occupation authorities’ obstruction of these preparations, tightening the noose on it and disrupting many of its tasks, in addition to its unfair measures against Jerusalemites, a large number of whom received banishment orders from Al-Aqsa Mosque just before the Holy Month.
The head of the Al-Aqsa Mosque custodian, Abdul Rahim Al-Ansari, confirmed that the work crews will be present in the mosque around the clock. The custodian will continuously clean, prepare and arrange the prayer rooms so that they are ready to receive the worshipers. They will also prepare the mosque’s courtyards for iftar.
In turn, the Director of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, said that the Islamic Endowments Department always carries out its duty towards Al-Aqsa Mosque and the worshipers coming to it during the blessed month of Ramadan, noting that it has set up umbrellas, communicated with the regime committees, health committees, and volunteers, and equipped health facilities, in addition to preparing various religious programs.
For his part, the Executive Director of the Hashemite Fund for the Reconstruction of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, Dr. Wasfi Al-Kilani, said that the occupation authorities are trying, through their “diplomatic propaganda,” to describe the holy month as causing violence, as they have made many slanders and false allegations in order to tighten procedures and prevent worshipers from reaching the mosque, and they have allowed only ten thousand worshipers from the West Bank to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque on Fridays, in addition to specifying their ages.
Al-Kilani pointed out that since the beginning of this year, the occupation authorities have deported more than 180 Jerusalemites from Al-Aqsa Mosque, including 43 Jerusalem Endowment employees, including imams, preachers, guards, guards, and Hashemite Reconstruction employees, in conjunction with their issuance of decisions banning breakfast and suhoor inside the courtyards of the mosque, in addition to extending the hours of raids by Jewish extremists during the last ten days of the month of Ramadan.
He explained that the people of the Old City devote themselves during the holy month of Ramadan to serving the mosque, and distribute themselves in all tasks to help the servants prepare the mosque to receive worshipers.
Regarding the achievements of the Hashemite reconstruction in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the year 2025, despite all the challenges and obstacles of the occupation, Al-Kilani said that the Hashemite reconstruction continued its work in several locations in and around the mosque, including the Islamic Museum, which enjoyed great progress through exhibits and interaction with the local community. The Center for Islamic Manuscripts also witnessed great progress in the field of documenting the manuscripts of Imam Al-Ghazali and other scholars, in addition to the maintenance of some small places and the initiation of the lighting project in the Rock. Supervising and completing the first phase of the audio system in the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, paving some of the places where cracks appeared, restoring dozens of roofs and walls, and starting a huge project aimed at restoring the health clinic.
He pointed out that the Hashemite reconstruction also included the restoration of some of the places surrounding the mosque, such as Souq al-Qattanin and some schools in the vicinity of the Holy City, and more than 150 mosques supervised by the Islamic Endowments.
Al-Kilani pointed out that the General Administration of Endowments made a great effort during the past year by monitoring violations and communicating with the world to expose the crimes of the occupation and its arbitrary measures towards Jerusalem and the people of Jerusalem.
Al-Kilani stressed that Jerusalemites are steadfast in their Jerusalem and continue to defend it, citing that their number in the year 2000 did not exceed 240,000, while the number of Jerusalemites who now hold a Jerusalem identity is nearly half a million, which is a realistic quantitative and demographic indicator of the state of clinging to the Holy City, despite the Israeli settlement and colonial encroachment inside the Holy City and the occupation authorities’ targeting of Jerusalem and its people in all aspects of their lives.
