Journalists and researchers were able to enter secret detention centers in Hadramaut, in a rare visit organized by the Saudi authorities. This visit shed light on the reality of the prisons used by UAE-backed forces to detain opponents, activists, and journalists between 2015 and 2025, amid accusations from human rights organizations of committing grave violations, including torture and enforced disappearance.
