Amman – British media reported Thursday that the late Queen Elizabeth II loaned 7 million pounds sterling to her son, Prince Andor, during her lifetime, to pay Virginia Giuffre, one of the victims of the American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, in exchange for covering up her relationship with him.

The British newspaper “The Sun” said that Prince Andor obtained a total loan of 12 million pounds sterling from his late parents and his brother Charles to pay a settlement for the assaulted Virginia Giuffre, but he has not paid any amount to date.

According to sources in the palace, the loan, which was obtained about four years ago, is still unpaid, according to what the newspaper reported.

Andrew’s plan to sell a ski chalet in Switzerland to repay the millions he borrowed from the royal family collapsed because the proceeds were not enough to cover the debt, according to the same source.

The newspaper quoted a source in Buckingham Palace as saying: “Andrew lied to the family about the extent of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and they financed his settlement with Giuffre, believed his lies, and helped him end the problem.”

He continued: “His mother, although she felt deeply saddened by the scandal, was unable to remove Andrew from the royal family because he is her beloved son.”

Virginia claimed that she was trafficked to have sex with Andrew three times by his friend, the sex trafficker Epstein, the first time when she was 17 years old, according to the newspaper.

Jeffrey Epstein, an American businessman, was accused of running a vast network of sexual exploitation of minors, some of whom were as young as 14 years old, and was found dead in prison in New York in 2019 while in detention.

The case files included the names of prominent international figures such as British Prince Andrew, former US President Bill Clinton, current Donald Trump, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, singer Michael Jackson, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.
