Ammon – At an official invitation from the US Senate, Rev. Dr. Nabih Abbasi, President of the Jordanian Baptist Church denomination, Rev. Dr. Rami Halsa, Secretary of the denomination, and Dr. Imad Shehadeh, member of the denomination’s council, participated in attending the annual presidential prayer breakfast held by the White House and organized by the US Senate in Washington, D.C., an event that brings together religious and political leaders from within the United States and the world to emphasize the role of faith in public life.

During the breakfast, US President Donald Trump spoke about the importance of the Christian faith in shaping the American state and national identity, stressing the profound impact of the Bible in consolidating the concepts of religious freedom and human dignity.

The President also pointed to the role played by biblical values ​​in protecting freedom of worship and religious pluralism, stressing that faith was and remains a pivotal element in guiding the public conscience and decision-making in the United States.

This participation comes within the framework of the Jordanian Baptist Church’s keenness to actively attend international meetings, contribute to positive dialogues to enhance the values ​​of faith and dialogue, build bridges between peoples and cultures, and defend freedom of worship and human dignity, in a way that reflects the role of the church and its mission in bearing witness to love and peace in a world that needs the voice of truth and hope.

Rev.
