He said: “We attacked one of the main American bases in the region, and here they tried to downplay it.” He stressed that Trump called on Iran to “surrender,” but his statements were “too much for the President of the United States to bear.”

US President Donald Trump wrote on the Truth Social website that the “important” update will be provided from the Pentagon at 8:00 a.m. EST (13:00 GMT), where Hegseth will be joined by military representatives.
“The press conference will be interesting,” Trump added.
Speaking during the NATO summit, Hegseth asserted that the US strikes had significantly reduced Tehran’s nuclear capabilities. However, previous reports, citing American intelligence sources, indicated that the strikes only delayed the Iranian nuclear program by a few months, and did not destroy its main components.
