US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called on Wednesday to stop arms supplies to the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces. On the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting in Canada, Rubio described what is happening in Sudan as “terrifying.” For its part, the Group of Seven major industrialized countries on Wednesday condemned the escalation of violence in Sudan, where the conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces has caused “the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.”
