Ammon – The Jordanian Olympic Committee is organizing the Baha Sports Festival in Aqaba Governorate on Friday, coinciding with the holding of the Jordan Baha Rally 2026, with the participation of about 200 male and female athletes.

The festival includes holding competitions in four sports: taekwondo, karate, boxing, and electronic sports, where the events will be held in the Great Arab Revolution Square and the Ayla Oasis, in an open sports atmosphere that reflects the spirit of community interaction.

This is the second time that the Jordanian Olympic Committee has organized the festival, as part of its efforts to promote community sports and raise awareness of the importance of physical activity, in addition to investing in major sporting events in spreading sports culture among members of society.

The governorate of Aqaba was chosen to host the festival due to its distinguished tourist status and advanced infrastructure, in addition to its coincidence with the 2026 Jordan Baja Rally, which enhances the presence of sports in its various forms and establishes Aqaba’s position as a destination for major sporting events.

The Secretary General of the Jordanian Olympic Committee, Rana Al-Saeed, said in a previous statement: “Organizing the Baha Sports Festival comes in conjunction with the Jordan Baha Rally based on our keenness to involve the local community and visitors to Aqaba in the atmosphere of the event, and to expand the base of sports participation. Through this festival, we seek to enhance the concept of community sports and link it to the national and international events hosted by the Kingdom.”

Al-Saeed stressed that the committee continues to launch initiatives that enhance the presence of sports in society and contribute to consolidating the culture of physical activity as a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
