Kenya announced Thursday that it wants to postpone the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which it is scheduled to host with Tanzania and Uganda, due to the possibility of violence linked to that year’s general elections. For its part, the British newspaper “The Guardian” reported on Wednesday that the tournament may be postponed to 2028 because Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania are not yet ready to host the event.
