Amman – It seems that Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, still believes that impossible deals can turn into reality, as happened at the turn of the millennium with the historic Luis Figo deal. In the midst of a season full of challenges and technical problems, Perez believes that he has a radical solution that will restore the club’s prestige, by targeting one of the most prominent stars of traditional rival Barcelona during the summer of 2027.

The news was broken by Spanish journalist Ciro Lopez, on his official YouTube channel, where he revealed the intention of the Real Madrid president to embark on a major adventure, aiming to sign a key player from Barcelona. A deal that seems almost impossible at first glance, but it represents a personal dream for Florentino Pérez, who has previously gone through similar adventures and emerged victorious.

Ciro Lopez, journalist and contributor to the “eldesmarque” website, confirmed this information again, explaining that the desired target for Real Madrid in the 2027-2028 season is the Spanish star Pedri.

He said in this context: “According to the data obtained by Juan Gato, the player that Real Madrid wants to include for the 2027-2028 season is Pedri.”

He added: “It is certain that this deal, if achieved, will be a resounding surprise, no less shocking than what happened with Luis Figo in the 2000-2001 season. It is not just about strengthening the team, but rather about kidnapping one of Barcelona’s main pillars.”

Obstacles that make the deal almost impossible
Despite the great excitement surrounding the idea, Real Madrid’s path towards Pedri seems very complicated. The player has an extended contract with Barcelona until 2030, and includes an astronomical penalty clause worth up to one billion euros, in addition to his great emotional attachment to the Catalan club.

In this context, Ciro Lopez said: “In light of the raging conflict between Florentino Perez and Joan Laporta, the possibility of contracting with Pedri is not completely ruled out. Everything starts with trying to convince the player, and as it is always said: money may be the deciding factor.”
