Amman – The Secretary-General of the Jordanian Olympic Committee, Rana Al-Saeed, received today, Monday, the President of the International Triathlon Federation, Antonio Fernandez Arimani, who is visiting the Kingdom in conjunction with the Jordanian Triathlon Association hosting the Asian Youth Championships for Under-23 years, which was held in the city of Aqaba with wide participation from various Asian countries.

During the meeting, which was attended by the President of the Jordanian Triathlon Association, Dr. Tariq Al-Khayyat, the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Jordanian Olympic Committee and the International Federation, to develop the sport of triathlon in Jordan, in addition to discussing future programs aimed at supporting Jordanian male and female athletes and raising their level at various levels.

Al-Saeed expressed the Olympic Committee’s pride in Jordan hosting this continental championship, praising the efforts made by the Jordanian Triathlon Association in spreading and developing its sport.

For his part, Arimani expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and distinguished organization of the championship, stressing the International Federation’s keenness to continue cooperation with the Jordanian side to support plans to develop triathlon sports in the region.
