Ammon – The head of the parliamentary bloc of the Union of Centrist and National Islamic Parties, MP Captain Zuhair Muhammad Al-Khashman, said that the joint statement issued at the conclusion of the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Republic of Turkey and his meeting with His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan constitutes an advanced political milestone that reflects the maturity of Jordanian diplomacy and its ability to build balanced partnerships at a very sensitive regional moment.

Al-Khashman pointed out that the statement was not traditional in its content, but rather carried clear messages in its essence, most notably the emphasis on the priority of stopping the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, rejecting the policies of displacement and annexation, and defending the historical and legal status of the city of Jerusalem and its sanctities, in line with the Jordanian constants that His Majesty the King leads with steadfastness and responsibility.

He added that the joint statement reaffirmed the importance of the humanitarian dimension and the need to ensure the continued delivery of aid without obstacles, in addition to supporting international efforts and relevant UN institutions, led by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in order to enable it to continue its vital role in providing basic services to the Palestinian people.

Al-Khashman stated that one of the most important dimensions of the statement is the transition from political relations to practical partnership, especially in the areas of economic, trade, investment, and military cooperation, and encouraging the private sector in the two countries to build joint projects that contribute to stimulating growth, providing job opportunities, and enhancing economic stability.

He stressed that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, continues to consolidate a balanced political approach that combines the protection of national interests and commitment to just causes, and the humanitarian role and regional responsibility, stressing that the Union of Centrist and National Islamic Parties parliamentary bloc sees this path as a model of diplomacy that produces solid positions and real partnerships, not fleeting statements.

Al-Khashman concluded by emphasizing that strengthening Jordanian-Turkish relations on this solid foundation constitutes an important lever for regional stability, and reflects the wisdom of the Jordanian leadership in managing sensitive files with the logic of the state, not with reactions, and with a policy of principles, not narrow calculations.
