Ammon – Representative Hala Al-Jarrah, Assistant Speaker of the House of Representatives and member of the National Islamic Party, confirmed that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, has never compromised its positions towards Palestine, and has not dealt with it as a slogan, but rather as an issue of commitment, conscience, and a common destiny.

During a speech she delivered in Baqaa camp on the occasion of the celebration of the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Al-Jarrah said that the Palestinian camps in Jordan are not a margin in history, but rather a reservoir of awareness and living memory of the issue, stressing that “rights do not lapse by statute of limitations, and that Palestine will remain Arab for its people no matter how long it takes.”

She pointed out that the aggression against Gaza revealed the inability of the international community and the fall of so-called international law before the test of humanity, at a time when Jordan remained steadfast in its position, rejecting displacement, and adhering to Palestine being an issue of action, not rhetoric.

Al-Jarrah added that His Majesty King Abdullah II said what needed to be said when many remained silent, and personally led the relief efforts, redefining leadership as a presence in the heart of danger and not watching from afar, stressing that the relationship between Jordan and Palestine is a relationship of blood and a shared destiny.

In her speech, Al-Jarrah recalled the sacrifices of the Jordanian Arab Army, from the martyr Kayed Mufleh Obeidat all the way to the martyrs of Jerusalem, saying that the Jordanians wrote their position towards Palestine in blood, not in statements.

She also recalled her father, who participated in the Battle of Dignity, considering that dignity was and remains the essence of the Jordanian national creed, and that Jordan and Palestine are not summed up by geography, but rather by spirit, blood, and shared history.

Al-Jarrah concluded her speech by emphasizing that Jordan will remain proud and proud, that Palestine will remain free and Arab, and that the unity of the Jordanian National Front is the secret of steadfastness and strength in the face of all challenges.
