The judge conveys the king’s greetings to the leaders in Vietnam Parliament

Amman – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, and Speaker of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tran Thanh Manh, discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, especially parliamentary ones and popular relations between the two countries, in addition to the proposal to establish a joint parliamentary friendship association, which would contribute to adopting common positions on regional, international and multilateral issues.

The judge said, during his meeting with Thanh Man, in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, that we look forward to strengthening relations and cooperation between the two sides in all fields.

During his meeting, the judge conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King to the leaders in Vietnam, referring to the historic royal visit to Vietnam on 12 and 13/11/2025, which constituted a historic starting point in bilateral relations that began 46 years ago, and praising the achievements achieved in Vietnam and its strategic location.

The judge appreciated Vietnam’s role in supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their just cause, and the necessity of the Palestinians achieving their independent state on their national territory.

The judge stressed the importance of the Hashemite custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

He also affirmed Jordan’s aspiration to open horizons for cooperation with all Vietnamese factions and in all fields.

The judge said that Jordan and Vietnam have a moderate foreign policy and an effective regional diplomatic presence due to their distinguished position on the international map. He also pointed to the Kingdom’s role in supporting stability and peace in the region and the world. The judge also re-invited the President of the Parliamentary Assembly to visit the Kingdom and learn closely about opportunities for parliamentary cooperation in all fields.

On the sidelines of the discussions session, a memorandum of understanding was signed on parliamentary cooperation between the Jordanian House of Representatives and the Vietnamese National Assembly.

This memorandum aims to strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and to ensure their development in various fields.

For his part, Speaker of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Manh stressed that Vietnam would like to expand cooperation with Jordan in the fields of economy, trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, education, training and health. And enhancing cooperation in areas where both sides enjoy

It is noteworthy that the judge heads a parliamentary delegation, which includes MPs: Zuhair Al-Khashman, Muhammad Al-Maharmah, Abdul Hadi Braizat, Muhammad Salama Al-Ghuwairi, and Omar Bani Khaled.

This official visit comes at the invitation of the President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tran Thanh Manh.

The meeting was attended by the non-resident Jordanian ambassador to Vietnam, Saed Dr. Al-Radaydeh.

On the sidelines of the discussions session, the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Awad Al-Ghuwairi, and his Vietnamese counterpart held a bilateral meeting, during which ways to implement the provisions of the memorandum on the ground were discussed, in addition to discussing aspects of cooperation between the two secretariats in the two councils.
