Parliamentary blocs agree to nominate committee members Parliament

Ammon – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, said that the Royal Throne Speech, with which His Majesty King Abdullah II opened the second regular session of the National Assembly, carried fundamental implications that outline the features of the next stage in a way that supports the process of construction, development, and comprehensive modernization.

The judge’s speech came as he chaired the first meeting of the permanent office today, Tuesday, and addressed, on behalf of the office and all members of the House of Representatives, a greeting of pride and pride to the shrine of His Majesty King Abdullah II, and thanks and gratitude to His Majesty for opening the second regular session of the House of Representatives and delivering the High Throne Speech.

The Permanent Office decided to name the members of the Committee to Respond to the Royal Throne’s Speech based on the recommendations of the parliamentary blocs, in preparation for the Council’s approval of the formula and its submission to His Majesty the King. The Council also discussed its priorities in the next stage, with the aim of presenting parliamentary work that meets the ambitions and aspirations of Jordanians.

The meeting was attended by: First Vice President of the Council, Dr. Khamis Attia, Second Vice President of the Council, Ibrahim Al-Sarayra, and Assistants to the Chairman of the Council, Hala Al-Jarrah and Maysoon Al-Qawabaa.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives also met with the heads and representatives of the parliamentary blocs, stressing the importance of strengthening the bloc’s programmatic work.

The judge said that the Council faces a great responsibility to work in accordance with the contents of the Royal Throne Speech, to follow up on what has been achieved in the path of political modernization, and to strengthen partisan parliamentary work dedicated to serving the nation.

During the meeting, there was agreement between the heads of the parliamentary blocs to nominate members of the parliamentary committees from each bloc, so that it would take place in a consensual manner and ensure representation of independent representatives.

During the meeting, the heads of the blocs stressed their keenness to strengthen programmatic work and improve work in a way that embodies the contents of the Supreme Throne Speech and meets the aspirations of citizens.
