Everyone strives to bring up their children in a good way, and they try to instill in them good qualities and behaviors, and one of the most qualities on which their personalities and their whole life are built is to bear the responsibility that begins from childhood and makes them in adulthood and youth personalities responsible for their actions, this trait makes the individual a normal person able to admit By his mistake and success, and no one is blamed for abstaining from doing a mistake, in addition to making him an honest and self-confident person, so how do we raise our children to take responsibility for their choices?

Dr. Salma Abu Al-Yazid, a mental health consultant, said in her talk to “The Seventh Day” that this trait must be inculcated since the child begins to realize from a young age, by taking responsibility for his toys by assembling and preserving them during and after playing, as children during the formation of their personality like to feel their strength and their achievements By praise and reward, this increases their self-confidence and responsibility, and stressed that there is no objection to parents asking their children to help them think to solve a problem, or even to help them carry or remove something, and one of the most important tasks that help the child acquire a lot of skills The good thing, on top of which is taking responsibility, is to ask for help in caring for their sisters, starting with paying attention and taking into account that they are infants or younger than them, in addition to helping the mother in preparing and arranging the needs of the young child and arranging them.

Teaching the child to clean his place

There is no objection to you teaching your child yourself to clean his place and his room first, and then have him do the cleaning and arrange his toys, then encourage and praise him and set an example in front of friends and family, and then you will notice that he does this without asking him until it becomes a habit that supports our beautiful morals.

Teach your child to help in good deeds

You have to teach your child good deeds so that he gets used to providing help and taking responsibility for people from whom he reaps nothing but good deeds, so that he realizes that he is not waiting for an immediate result as you do with him.

Take responsibility for themselves

The child must learn to take responsibility for himself, which is to maintain himself in school or the club, and even let him talk about what is on his mind about the places he goes to and stay there for a short period of time alone without your supervision in order to increase his confidence in himself, and the responsibility of a part in the house such as arranging if Their room only, or assembling their toys, or even arranging and preparing the dining room, or taking care of his pet, whether a cat, dog, or bird, or taking care of a plant or flower that he raises.
