A lot of kids like to talk, especially young children, if they are excited about something, and they don’t stop gossiping no matter what happens, and as they get older, some of them may realize this bad habit and try to change it. Babies can sometimes be charming and funny, but when their conversation is endless or takes place at the wrong time and place, it can cause people to turn away from them.

Reasons for making a child talkative:

1. Kids may be excited about a topic and want to share all the details about it.
2. Children may also talk nonstop if they are nervous.
3. They may not know how to calm themselves, so they talk a lot
4. Shy children may become anxious in social situations, but instead of holding back and remaining silent, they find sanctuary in speaking.
5. Some children have problems with social skills in general.
6. They have difficulty recognizing social cues such as body language and facial expressions, so they may not notice how others react to their speech.
7. The problem of self-control can be a factor, and it appears on your child’s behavior clearly, especially with the expression of his anger, so he violently reprimands those around him.
8. Some children are impulsive and find it difficult to control themselves. They may struggle to stop themselves even if they know they are talking a lot.

How to deal with a talkative child:

1. Set aside time to talk to him. Set aside a few hours for your child during the day.
2. The first thing we need to make sure we do is actually engage with our child, all he wants is to talk all the time so you have to set a designated date for him in the day to talk to him about everything he needs, and that date is next to the time you spend with him playing or Watching TV or even doing homework.
3. Make eye contact with your child so that he or she feels interested in what he or she is saying.

How to communicate well with a talkative child:

Sit at eye level.

Repeat what your child said before responding.

Asking questions that they can’t answer with “yes” or “no” so they have a chance to talk and say what they want to say.
