Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed Saturday during the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, “Today we are writing a new chapter of history.” This huge cultural event comes after more than 20 years of preparations, in an event aimed at promoting tourism and highlighting the Pharaonic civilization. The museum includes more than 100,000 artifacts, most notably the complete collection of Tutankhamun, in the largest gathering of the possessions of a single civilization.
