The Drug Enforcement Administration continued its security and investigation efforts, and its qualitative operations to pursue drug dealers and their promoters, as it thwarted a drug delivery operation and arrested two traffickers involved in it after implementing the rules of engagement.

The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that information received from the Drug Enforcement Administration that two suspects in cases of trafficking and promoting narcotic substances transferred a quantity of narcotic substances from one of the northern governorates towards the capital in order to sell them there.

The media spokesman added that the information was immediately followed up and the place of delivery was determined in one of the eastern regions of the capital, and several observation points were set up in the vicinity of the place at dawn today. The first was the pursuit of the other and the application of the rules of engagement with him.

He stressed that the security force managed to control and arrest him, and it was found that he had been shot in the thigh area, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment, while a kilogram and a quarter of the narcotic crystal was seized inside the vehicle, in addition to the used firearm.
