“Health” and “Doctors” form 4 committees to follow up on the implementation of joint agreements

The Ministry of Health and the Jordanian Medical Association said in a joint statement that a meeting was held at the union’s headquarters last Saturday, which included Health Minister Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, Doctors Syndicate Dr. Ziad Al-Zoubi, a number of ministry officials and the majority of the members of the union’s council.
During the meeting, a number of topics of interest to the Ministry and the Syndicate were discussed, and several items were agreed upon, the most important of which was the fairness of the Ministry of Health’s doctors in terms of bonuses, the adoption of the new wages list, solving the problem of doctors who had been struck out of membership, and the start of setting working hours for doctors in the Ministry of Health, and the mechanism of work of the Technical Committee to study the Medical errors formed under the applicable medical liability law, where the Ministry agreed to the participation of the Syndicate in setting standards for the work of this committee. In addition to agreeing on several other items.
Based on a proposal from the Syndicate Council, four joint committees were formed with the Ministry of Health in order to follow up and implement what was agreed upon, which would do justice to the doctors of the Ministry of Health.
Today, Tuesday, the first of these committees met in the Ministry of Health building.
