His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a televised speech, expressed his appreciation and pride for the 2022 Sheikh Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity.

In a speech published on the award website this evening, His Majesty affirmed the continuation of efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region and work with all sincerity to find political solutions to the crises it is going through.

His Majesty stressed the need to invest in the state of solidarity witnessed by the world in the face of the Corona pandemic to build a future in which injustice and deprivation will end, the occupation will end and every refugee will return to his homeland.

His Majesty continued, “We will remain committed to the values ​​of dialogue, harmony and coexistence, because what unites people is much more than what divides them.”

He described the late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, the great late, who devoted himself to the service of his country and his nation, and to the promotion of great human values ​​based on goodness, respect and love, and left a great legacy of achievement and progress that his sons and his family carry.

In the name of of Allah the Merciful,

And prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad, the faithful Arab prophet, and after;

I am pleased, as I receive the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity, to express my pride and appreciation for this great honor from the brothers in the United Arab Emirates, from which this award was launched to consolidate human brotherhood and world peace. Great humanity is based on goodness, respect and love, and he left a great legacy of achievement and progress that his sons and family carry in this country that believes in peace and great human values.

These values, which we desperately need today, more than ever, are the solid foundation for building bridges instead of building walls, and for understanding and peace to replace conflicts.

Humanity has united in the face of the Corona pandemic for the right to life, regardless of race, religion or differences, and we must reflect on this experience, and invest in this state of solidarity witnessed by the world to build a future in which injustice and deprivation end, the occupation ends and every refugee returns To his homeland, hope is renewed among the youth, and development is launched in all its fields, especially in our region, which has not known stability for decades.

As I renew my thanks, appreciation, and pride in my name and that of Rania and all Jordanians with this award, I assure the continuation of our efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region, and to work with all sincerity to find political solutions to the crises it is going through.
