The government targets 19 regulatory findings recorded against 11 entities and institutions – Hala News

Hala News – Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs Abdul Latif Al-Najdawi said that the team charged with reviewing the clarifications documented by the Audit Bureau discussed, during its meeting today, Wednesday, the supervisory outputs that were monitored during the month of last January.

Al-Najdawi revealed that the regulatory outputs that were discussed amounted to 19 regulatory outputs, recorded against 11 governmental and public entities, including ministries, government and official departments, universities, municipalities, and companies wholly owned by the government, and all necessary measures have been taken to correct them.

He stated that the supervisory outcomes that were discussed included investigating the dispensing of fodder to people who did not have a livestock vaccination card, the repeated dispensing of fodder to some farmers from other fodder centers during the same month, and the clearance of unsuitable agricultural materials. Stressing that the necessary legal and administrative measures will be taken to correct these violations immediately after the end of the investigation.

The outcomes also included violations such as neglecting to collect amounts due to the treasury, purchasing medical devices despite the availability of a number of them in warehouses or surplus hospitals, and not including most medical device bids within the approved annual purchasing plans, in addition to non-compliance with the protocol for dispensing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The supervisory outcomes also included purchasing materials directly without adhering to the procurement system, failure to pay electricity bills on a timely basis contrary to circulars issued in this regard, naming unqualified employees as members of specialized committees, abuses in the use of government vehicles, disbursing sums of money to employees for periods at which time they had received sick leave, and disbursing bonuses and allowances to employees in some municipalities. Unjustified institutions, promotions contrary to what is stipulated in the applicable legislation, and other violations.

Al-Najdawi confirmed that the team, based on the direction of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, will work to intensify its work during the coming period, to ensure that the supervisory outputs are followed up and corrected immediately, and to reduce violations and ensure that they are not repeated in order to preserve public money and adherence to the law.
