Amman – The Jordanian Journalists Syndicate discussed with the Jordanian Sports Media Federation and the Jordanian Football Association on Wednesday the file of the media mission accompanying the national team to the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be held in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate, colleague Tariq Al-Momani, fellow council members Rashid Al-Assaf and Rashid Al-Rawashdeh, the head of the Sports Media Federation, colleague Amjad Al-Majali, and the Secretary General of the Jordanian Football Association, Samar Nassar, along with a number of representatives of the federation.

The parties discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation and mechanisms for organizing the media mission’s participation, in a way that ensures professional representation worthy of the reputation of the Jordanian sports media, and provides the best conditions for fellow journalists to carry out their duties during coverage of the global event.

The importance of early coordination with regard to organizational and logistical procedures was emphasized, and the adoption of clear and transparent criteria for selecting mission members, in a manner consistent with the regulations and instructions governing the tournament.

The head of the Journalists Syndicate confirmed that the Syndicate views the participation of the media delegation accompanying the national team in the 2026 World Cup finals as an important national event that requires the highest levels of coordination and professional responsibility, stressing that Jordan’s media representation in this global event must be at the level of ambition that matches the team’s achievement and qualification.

He added that the union is keen to ensure clear and fair standards for selecting members of the media delegation, in a way that ensures the opportunity for competencies capable of conveying an honorable image of Jordanian sports, stressing continued cooperation with the Sports Media Federation and the Jordanian Football Association to overcome any organizational or logistical challenges.

For her part, Nassar stressed that the federation appreciates the pivotal role played by the sports media in supporting the national team and enhancing its presence locally and internationally, noting that the federation is working to provide possible facilities for the media mission within the frameworks and instructions approved by the tournament organizing bodies.

Nassar explained that the next stage requires concerted efforts to ensure the organization of distinguished media participation, keeping pace with the global event in a manner befitting Jordan’s name and sporting status.

The attendees stressed their keenness to ensure the success of the Jordanian media participation in this international competition, which reflects an honorable image of sports and media in the Kingdom, and enhances the presence of the Jordanian press in international forums.
