Amman – Petra University and the Aoun National Cultural Society, under the auspices of Dr. Muhammad al-Ghoul, member of the Advisory and Steering Board, signed a memorandum of understanding at the association’s headquarters in the capital, Amman. It was signed on behalf of the university’s president by Professor Dr. Mahmoud al-Salman, dean of the Faculty of Arts, and on behalf of the association by the head of its administrative body, Asaad Ibrahim Naji al-Azzam.

The memorandum aims to document the frameworks of joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of conducting academic and research studies concerned with preserving the history of Jordan, in addition to holding seminars and conferences, in addition to training programs and courses. The memorandum also provides the association with an opportunity to benefit from the university’s facilities in a way that serves its national project.

During the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Salman stressed Petra University’s support for the efforts of the Aoun National Cultural Society to document and publish Jordan’s history and educate citizens about it, especially the youth.

In turn, the Chairman of the Association’s Administrative Board, Asaad Ibrahim Naji Al-Azzam, praised the scientific reputation enjoyed by the University of Petra, appreciating the interest and cooperation shown by the University in supporting the Association. He appreciated the efforts of the University President, Professor Dr. Rami Abdul Rahim Al-Shayab, in his successful management of the University, which has witnessed progress and development that undoubtedly contributes to the development of higher education in Jordan and the improvement and improvement of its outcomes.

In her press statement, the association’s media spokesman, Suhair Al-Rousan, said that signing the memorandum of understanding with the University of Petra comes as a continuation of the association’s approach to communicating with higher education institutions, which are considered the main incubators for the youth group that the association targets.

Al-Rousan added that the association has held meetings with approximately 27 public and private universities in the three regions of the Kingdom and signed memorandums of understanding/cooperation with 21 universities.

Al-Rousan concluded her statement by emphasizing that the association is moving forward to complete the visit to the rest of the universities and build effective partnership between the association and the rest of the public and private institutions, with the aim of cooperating in implementing events and activities that serve all parties and are in the public interest.
