Hala News – As part of the early government preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Government Communications held a meeting devoted to reviewing the procedural media plan for the holy month, headed by the Minister of Government Communications and government spokesman, Dr. Muhammad Al-Momani, and in the presence of the Ministry’s Secretary General, Dr. Zaid Al-Nawaisa, and a number of media spokespersons in the relevant ministries.
The meeting included media spokesmen for the ministries concerned with the plan, namely Agriculture, Culture, Interior, Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Environment, and media officials in the Ministries of Youth and Industry, Trade and Supply.
This media framework aims to unify the government message and organize mechanisms for dealing with issues related to the holy month, ensuring clarity and accuracy of information, speedy delivery of it to public opinion, and enhancing professionalism in dealing with developments and the rumors that may accompany them.
It also focuses on raising the level of media readiness among the concerned authorities, by defining clear response mechanisms and following up on issues of public concern, in addition to launching awareness messages that contribute to reducing food waste rates, reducing random throwing of waste, preserving the environment and public cleanliness, and supporting oversight efforts related to markets and the quality of goods and services provided to citizens.
The adopted methodology is based on four main pillars, including enhancing social solidarity, highlighting community initiatives, reassuring citizens about the availability of food stocks of goods and supplies, maximizing the spiritual and value aspect of the holy month, in addition to enhancing traffic awareness and public safety during peak times.
This mechanism aims to provide a clear procedural framework for each concerned party, which includes defining the axes of work and media activities, ensuring advance readiness and joint coordination, in a way that enhances the integration of roles and increases the effectiveness of media messages.
During the meeting, Momani began his speech by congratulating Jordanians on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, noting that it coincides this year with the fast of the Christian brothers, which embodies the values of brotherhood and coexistence in Jordanian society. He also listened to the interventions of media spokesmen, where the programs prepared for the holy month were reviewed, and ways to enhance coordination and unify the media discourse were discussed in a way that reflects an integrated picture of government efforts in the oversight, awareness, and service aspects.
Al-Momani stressed that the Ministry of Government Communications represents the body that continuously follows up the work of the Media Spokesmen Network, noting that the existing coordination within this system will not be limited to the holy month of Ramadan, but will continue in various upcoming occasions and seasons, in a way that consolidates the approach of joint institutional work and enhances the effectiveness of government messages throughout the year.
