Ammon – Youth centers in the Capital Governorate implemented, on Monday, a group of awareness-raising, cultural and volunteer activities, within the axes of the National Youth Strategy, within the framework of enhancing the role of youth centers in developing the capabilities of young people and consolidating the values ​​of social responsibility.

The Marka Young Women’s Center implemented an awareness workshop on the executive program for the hygiene strategy and reducing random waste dumping, in cooperation with lawyer Laila Al-Samarrai, with the participation of a number of the center’s members.

The workshop aimed to raise the level of environmental awareness among participants, and enhance the role of youth in supporting national efforts aimed at preserving public hygiene and natural resources, and consolidating positive behaviors in society.

The workshop included an explanation of the foundations of proper waste management, sorting mechanisms at the source, and the importance of recycling, in addition to discussing the role of youth in spreading the culture of maintaining public cleanliness, and motivating community members to adopt responsible practices that contribute to reducing random dumping of waste.

In a related context, the Liwa Sahab Young Women’s Center, as part of the cleanliness program and reducing random dumping of waste, implemented a cleanliness campaign in partnership with the Liwa Sahab Education Directorate at Hafsa Bint Omar School, where waste bags were distributed and an awareness activity was carried out with the participation of 30 female students, with the aim of promoting positive environmental behavior among female students.

The Giza Young Women’s Center also implemented an awareness workshop entitled “How to Enter Ramadan with a Different Heart,” with the participation of 20 young women, which addressed the importance of spiritual and psychological preparation for the holy month, and promoting faith values ​​and positive behaviors in daily life.

These activities come within the efforts of the Capital Governorate Youth Directorate to enhance youth participation in national initiatives, and to consolidate the values ​​of volunteer work and social responsibility.
