He pointed out that the royal vision focuses on empowering young people and involving them in shaping the future, and encouraging them to consolidate the modern Jordanian narrative based on achievement, diversity and respect for difference, thus enhancing the role of responsible media in confronting contemporary digital challenges.

Al-Amoush praised the efforts made by the We Rise Center for Sustainable Development in raising the level of political and civil participation, and building the media and digital capabilities of young people, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation with civil society institutions that contribute to developing a conscious and responsible media environment.

For her part, Al-Jarrah stressed that the vision of His Highness the Crown Prince places youth at the heart of the national modernization process, by consolidating the values of active citizenship as the basis for stability and sustainable development, stressing the need to involve youth more broadly in decision-making, and provide them with the opportunity to express their opinions and contribute to the formulation of public policies through modern media tools and safe dialogue spaces.

In turn, members of the parliamentary committee, Representative Muhammad Al-Sabaila and Representative Ahmed Al-Raqab, stressed the importance of continuing coordination and joint work with youth initiatives and civil society institutions, in a way that translates the royal visions into practical programs that enhance youth participation in public life, consolidate the values of citizenship and national belonging, and support the Jordanian narrative based on moderation and innovation.

In the context of the meeting, the Director General of the We Rise Center for Sustainable Development, Amer Abu Dalu, said that the visit of the Media Committee represents a real opportunity to build bridges of communication and joint work with decision-makers, and to enhance integration between parliamentary efforts and community initiatives in confronting the challenges associated with the digital space.

Abu Dalu explained that the meeting comes within the activities of the “Youth Connection” project, which the Center is implementing in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and in partnership with the British Council, through the “Humanitarian Speech Initiative” and the “Mobile Digital Clinic,” which aim to limit the spread of hate speech on social media platforms, enhance awareness of digital protection, and build a media culture based on responsibility and respect for diversity.

The center also reviewed its plans to launch the “Online Content Monitoring Observatory” during the coming period within the “Tawasim 2” project, in partnership with the British Embassy and in cooperation with ARK. The observatory aims to develop tools for analyzing and monitoring digital trends, and to provide a data-based reading of the public discourse circulating across social platforms, which contributes to supporting decision-makers with in-depth information and analysis.

In the context of supporting youth media, Abu Dalu referred to the “Youth Media Incubator – Rowad Spot Platform,” which the center is implementing within the Mediterranean Youth in Action (MYA) program, in partnership with the European Anna Lindh Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue and the European Union, which seeks to develop responsible media production skills among young people, create safe spaces for expression and dialogue, and promote civic participation through innovative digital tools.

Abu Dalu reviewed the most prominent development achievements achieved by the Center in the areas of political empowerment of youth and building media capabilities, stressing that the Center adopts in its work the three royal modernization paths, and seeks to employ technology and data to enhance conscious participation in the public space.

He added that the Center’s efforts to monitor content on social media sites and develop youth media platforms represent an opportunity to build a real and sustainable partnership with the House of Representatives and the National Steering and Media Committee, which contributes to developing a more aware and responsible media environment.

This meeting comes within the framework of expanding channels of dialogue between the House of Representatives and civil society institutions, and translating modernization paths into practical initiatives that enhance the political and media participation of young people, and support the building of a modern Jordanian narrative based on moderation, innovation and openness, which reflects the role of digital media as an essential partner in the national development process.
