The Foreign Minister stresses the necessity of adhering to the ceasefire in Gaza – Hala News

Hala News – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Al-Safadi, stressed the necessity of adhering to the ceasefire in Gaza and implementing all provisions of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan.

Al-Safadi stressed during a joint press conference held by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Vajon, after an expanded dialogue session hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, on the need to bring humanitarian aid immediately and sufficiently into Gaza.

Al-Safadi stressed the importance of finding a real political horizon to achieve a just peace that embodies an independent Palestinian state with sovereignty over the Palestinian national territory on the basis of the two-state solution and in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.

Al-Safadi warned of the disastrous consequences of the dangerous illegal Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank, as well as the continued settlement expansion, the confiscation of lands, the siege of the Palestinian economy, and the continuing violations of Islamic and Christian sanctities in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Safadi appreciated Slovenia’s efforts and role over the past two years in condemning the Israeli aggression against Gaza and supporting the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and statehood.

Al-Safadi pointed out that Slovenia’s positions have consolidated its position on the international scene as a voice for justice, international law, moderation, and peace.

Al-Safadi stressed the depth of the friendly relations between Jordan and Slovenia.

In this regard, he pointed to the importance of the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to Slovenia last October in strengthening relations, where a joint declaration was signed to strengthen the partnership between the two friendly countries, and steps were taken to enhance the pace of cooperation in many vital areas.

In addition, Al-Safadi and the Arab ministers who participated in the visit to Slovenia met with Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golub and discussed with him developments in the situation in the region, efforts made to achieve security and stability, and ways to strengthen relations with Slovenia.

During the meeting, Al-Safadi stressed Jordan’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Slovenia and the Kingdom’s appreciation for its positions on the Palestinian issue and its support for efforts to achieve just peace in the region.

Al-Safadi held extensive discussions with Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tanja Vajon, which focused on strengthening bilateral relations and developments in the region.

Al-Safadi and Faillon discussed ways to enhance the prospects for cooperation between Jordan and Slovenia in various fields to build on the outcomes of the visit of His Majesty the King and His Highness the Crown Prince last October, to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

Al-Safadi appreciated Slovenia’s firm positions in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and its recognition of the Palestinian state on the basis of the two-state solution.

In addition, Al-Safadi and the Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Bahrain, along with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Slovenian Foreign Minister, participated in a dialogue session within the framework of the Bled Strategic Forum.
