Amman – Within the framework of the Executive Program for the National Cleaning Strategy (2026-2027), which is sponsored by His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, the youth centers in Aqaba implemented a number of volunteer campaigns, which aim to strengthen the bonds of good citizenship among the members of the youth centers and instill the values of belonging by maintaining the cleanliness of public facilities, especially youth facilities and centres, where a number of general cleanliness and extensive afforestation campaigns were implemented in youth centers. The young women of Al-Deesa and Al-Quwaira, the Aqaba Youth Center and the young women of Rahma, in addition to the Al-Qurayqra Youth Center, to enhance vegetation cover and give an aesthetic appearance to public facilities, in addition to the participation of members of youth centers in Aqaba within the Clean the World 2025 campaign, which included cleaning the city’s beaches and the sea at the Al-Mamallah site and Ayla Marsa, based on the Ministry of Youth’s endeavor to transform these youth practices and activities into a way of life within society, which develops the spirit of initiative. And social responsibility, by educating participants about the dangers of random waste dumping and its negative impact on tourist sites, especially in a governorate such as Aqaba.

Director of Aqaba Youth, Ahmed Al-Hassan, confirmed that the Ministry of Youth has invested in its sports and youth facilities as main platforms for implementing this national strategy; He stated that the activities implemented were not limited to waste collection, but also included afforestation campaigns, and a number of awareness workshops on sustainability in all youth centers.
