The day of Badr was a turning point in awareness before the sword.. a day in which forgiveness was revealed after honesty had appeared.. so forgiveness was the result of not a passing grant.. so he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said.. “Perhaps God looked at the people of Badr and said: Do whatever you want, for I have forgiven you.”

And God has the highest ideal.. However, whenever I follow what is happening in the Radio and Television Corporation.. I remember the saying with its upside down face.. as if someone whispered to you.. “Do whatever you want.. for we have turned a blind eye to you.”.. not because a great deed has taken place.. but because the question itself is absent.. and when the question is absent.. the balance is imbalanced..

The criticisms that surfaced…were not a passing storm…nor a noise of emotion…but rather words written by those who stay with the profession at its core…who know the difference between a mistake and a sin…and between diligence and frivolity…and yet the scene remained as it was…as if the institution was in a place outside the accountability field…as if it were standing in a shade that the sun could not reach…watching the voices from afar…then it would smile and go on with its day…as if nothing had happened…

As for the language of the government… it is what raises more astonishment than sorrow… If satisfaction exists… then it needs an explanation… and if dissatisfaction exists… then it needs clear and tangible action… Therefore, a clear and frank statement must come out… explaining to people what is going on inside this institution… Is the performance within it the desired performance?!… If so… and if it is so… then let its management be publicly honored… and let it be said that the criticism was misplaced… even if it was not That.. Accountability is a duty, not a courtesy.. so as not to say that the government turns a blind eye.. or that silence has become a comfortable cover for those who are not asked about what they do..

The issue is not a desire to attack… nor a desire for anyone to sit at home… but because public institutions do not belong to those who sit in their offices… nor a private farm… but rather belong to the people who pay the price for their existence… and they pay more when their outputs weaken… and an institution of this size cannot remain… living in a gray area… neither is it calculated on success… nor is it calculated on admitting failure…

Oh, the Radio and Television Administration… Congratulations to you for this calm… this reassurance… this high ceiling of job security… but remember… that forgiveness at Badr… was because hearts were attached to what was higher than the ground… As for you… when the time for review comes… the question will not be about appearance… but about essence… What did the institution provide to those to whom its voice addresses?!… and what remains of it in the people’s consciousness?!..
