* Al-Suhail: Sanaa Asaad wrote for eternity with the ink of the soul, not the ink of the language
Ammon – Sheikha Dr. Sarah Taleb Al-Suhail sponsored the publication ceremony of the book “Song of Eternity” by the Lebanese writer Dr. Sanaa Asaad, which was held on Tuesday evening at the National Library, in the presence of an elite group of writers, critics, and media figures. The ceremony witnessed multiple participations by Dr. Jarwan Al-Maani, the poet and critic Dr. Adnan Al-Saudi, Dr. Ismail Al-Saudi, and the artist and media personality Asaad Khalifa, who presented the ceremony’s paragraphs, amidst the audience’s interaction with what she carried. The words are intellectual and aesthetic readings.
In her critical study that she presented during the ceremony, Dr. Sarah Al-Suhail addressed the intellectual and aesthetic structure of the book, noting that “Song of Eternity” represents a profound human experience that combines poetry and philosophy, and dives into contemplations of existence and immortality in their human and spiritual meaning. She added that the writer Sanaa Asaad presented a different work that combines a delicate poetic sense with a mature intellectual vision, giving the texts a philosophical dimension that touches the reader and motivates him to contemplate the meanings of life.
Al-Suhail added that this work constitutes a cognitive and aesthetic journey towards the essence of the human being, and presents a philosophical approach to poetry as an act of immortality, not just a means of expression or creativity. She added: “In Song of Immortality, we do not read critical texts as much as we live an experience of crossing into the depths, where language turns into a breathing being, and the word becomes a mirror of the soul, and a voice that illuminates the dark paths of existence. The writer was able to give the letter its human dimension, and transform poetry into a vibrant entity of life, thought, and beauty.”
Al-Suhail continued: “Sana Asaad appears in this work as if she is climbing the ladder of light, one step at a time, carrying the reader with her to spaces where the aesthetic sense merges with philosophical thought, so that poetry becomes a bridge between presence and absence, between mortality and eternity. It is a reading of the soul more than a reading of the text, and an attempt to redefine the meaning of writing in a time when meanings are diminishing and voices are crowded.”
Al-Suhail believes that the Song of Eternity is not a traditional literary study, but rather a contemplative project on the nature of language and its role in shaping a person’s awareness of himself and the universe around him. She says: “Language here is not a malleable tool in the hand of the writer, but rather a rebellious being that leads its owner to self-discovery. Every sentence in the book seems like a pulse of thought or a gasp of amazement, taking us back to that first relationship between man and the word, between creation and language, between question and certainty.”
The writer Al-Suhail added: “What distinguishes this work is its honesty. Dr. Sanaa Asaad does not write to impress, but rather to express sincere existential emotion. From here stem the strength and beauty of the text, as thought turns into feeling, and criticism turns into a kind of parallel poetry, so science meets emotion, and reason and intuition in a single fabric of astonishment.”
Dr. Sarah Al-Suhail concluded her study by saying: “The Song of Immortality is not just a book, but rather a passage towards another shore of beauty, where the soul meets the letter, and poetry becomes a path to human salvation. It is a text that reminds us that great literature is what awakens in us what we thought was dormant, and brings us back to our first humanity with all its amazement and light. This literary work restores poetry to its intellectual spirit, and confirms that the word is capable of creating creative immortality when It stems from human honesty and from the writer’s conscience.”
The Lebanese writer and writer, Dr. Sanaa Asaad, said that her new book, “Song of Immortality – Mirrors of Poetry and the Experience of Existence,” is an attempt to cross through language into the depth of human experience, and to contemplate the meaning of immortality as an intellectual and aesthetic act that transcends the boundaries of time and place. She pointed out that the book does not provide a traditional reading of poetic texts, but rather seeks to reveal the philosophical structure inherent in poetry as a mirror that reflects a person in the moments of his constant search for meaning.
She added: “I wrote the Song of Immortality and I believe that poetry is neither a linguistic luxury nor a mere emotional state. Rather, it is a renewed awareness of existence, and a language capable of giving a person an extension of memory and eternity. Every poetic text born from the depth of human experience carries within it the seed of eternity, because the true word does not die, but rather continues to reverberate in the conscience of readers across generations.”
The author explained that the idea of the book came as a result of long research into the relationship between poetry and philosophy, and an attempt to combine the aesthetic dimension with the contemplative dimension, so that the literary text becomes a field for discovering oneself and the world at the same time.
She said: “Writing, for me, is not just a creative act, but rather a passage towards a broader awareness. Every poem or text carries within it a seed of salvation from annihilation, and a desire to achieve immortality through beauty and meaning. Therefore, the Song of Immortality came to celebrate language as a spiritual homeland, and to say that poetry is the most beautiful path towards humanity.”
The writer, Dr. Sanaa Asaad, concluded her speech by emphasizing that this work is an invitation to contemplation, not quick reading, and a message to everyone who believes that true literature is what restores the soul’s sparkle and the word’s ability to create and renew.
At the end of the evening, the writer, Dr. Sanaa Asaad, expressed her thanks to Dr. Jarwan Al-Maani, the poet and critic Dr. Adnan Al-Saudi, Dr. Ismail Al-Saudi, the artist and journalist Asaad Khalifa, Dr. Sarah Talib Al-Suhail, and those present with the writers, writers, and scholars, stressing that purposeful criticism and conscious illumination of literary experiences constitute an essential bridge for supporting creativity in the Arab world.
