The number of overnight tourists and one-day visitors from all of Europe coming to Jordan reached approximately 87,943 people during the month of January, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The data shows that the number of overnight tourists reached 68,867 people, while the number of one-day visitors reached 19,076, bringing the total to 87,943 people.

In comparison between 2025 and 2026 for the same period (January), the data shows a growth in overnight tourists and one-day visitors from all of Europe by 17.4%.

The number of tourists from all of Europe in January 2025 reached approximately 74,928 people, including 18,769 one-day visitors and 56,159 overnight tourists.

The Central Bank had previously announced an increase in tourism income during the month of January 2026 by 4.1%, reaching $708.5 million, compared to an increase of 22.8%, reaching $680.5 million during the same month last year. This is due to an increase in the number of tourists by 3.2%, according to what preliminary data issued by the Central Bank showed.

The data shows an increase in tourism income during the month of January 2026 for European (56.9%), Asian (11.6%), American (16.0%), and Arab (3.0%) nationalities, while the data shows a decrease in tourism income for other nationalities (2.0%) and expatriate Jordanians (3.0%).

The data also shows an increase in spending on tourism abroad during January 2026 by 6.2%, reaching $196.3 million.
