“Agriculture” stops exporting live sheep to neighboring countries to ensure the abundance of meat during Ramadan

Amman Today – The Ministry of Agriculture announced the decision to stop exporting live sheep to neighboring countries, with the aim of ensuring that the local market’s needs for red meat are met, maintaining price stability, and providing sufficient quantities to citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Ministry explained, in a statement, today, Tuesday, that new facilities have been opened to import live animals, including lamb and calves, in addition to accrediting new slaughterhouses to import meat in various forms, from approved, sanitary and veterinary sound facilities.
