Zarqa celebrates civilizational harmony in its eleventh annual conference

Sarrah News – Yesterday evening, the eleventh annual conference for civilizational harmony was held at the headquarters of the Christian Youth Club in Zarqa Governorate.
The conference was jointly organized by the club and the Hashemite University, and with the active participation of elite cultural and intellectual institutions, including the Union of Jordanian Writers and Writers, the Union of Historians of Tribal Heritage, the Path of Civilizational Harmony Initiative, the Yajouz Cultural Forum, the Scientific Cultural Salon, and the Golden Medal Association, in addition to a wide number of cultural bodies and associations in the governorate.
The head of the conference’s organizing and scientific committee, researcher Dr. Muhammad Wahib, confirmed that the conference constitutes a solid knowledge platform for documenting the national and national history of Zarqa Governorate, explaining that the stability and common life that Jordan has enjoyed since the founding of the Kingdom has produced discoveries of global importance.
He pointed out that Wadi Zarqa attracted local and international exploratory missions, which revealed successive civilizations, from the Stone Ages, to the discovery of the largest birds in the world, all the way to human settlement and the establishment of the first agricultural villages.
Wahib added that the historical trade routes, such as the Incense Road, the Elaf Road, and the Trajan Road, crossed from Zarqa and linked it to international commercial centers. After the establishment of the Hashemite State of Jordan in 1921, it entered the transition phase from local to global, and its products became present in world markets. He stressed that the repeated royal visits and continuous Hashemite efforts stimulated the process of giving, production, and rising leadership in the governorate.
In turn, the President of the Christian Youth Club, Faten Samirat, stated that holding the conference this year coincides with the celebration of the birth of His Majesty King Abdullah II, pointing to the state of societal harmony that Zarqa is experiencing under the established Hashemite patronage and deep-rooted societal harmony.
For his part, the representative of the Zarqa Endowments Directorate, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Atoum, praised the Hashemite efforts and the thesis of His Majesty the King, calling for the establishment of Harmony Week at the beginning of every year, so that Jordan has become a global model for coexistence, love and tolerance.
In turn, Father Khalil Hijazin from the Roman Catholic Church presented the story of common life in Zarqa Governorate since its first inception, stressing that the religious tolerance that Jordan enjoys is a source of pride and pride for all Jordanians in the various governorates.
For his part, the head of the Forum of Historians in Tribal Heritage, Saad Salama, highlighted the good morals and the continuing efforts of His Highness Prince Hussein, Crown Prince, to protect, document and preserve the Jordanian narrative for future generations.
He also presented multiple historical models of shared life in Zarqa over the years, praising the continuity of this conference, which is being held in its eleventh session in the spirit of brotherhood, love and peace.
An in-depth intellectual discussion took place between the participants about the cultural narrative, future prospects in Zarqa, and ways to combine joint efforts in the fields of documentation, blogging, and scientific publishing.
At the conclusion of the conference, the participants recommended continuing serious and systematic work to document the governorate’s narrative, and involving all segments of local society in its national activities and outcomes, in a way that enhances the image of Zarqa as an advanced Jordanian model for cultural harmony and shared life.
