Sarrah News – The Jordan River Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Hussein Technical University, aiming to cooperate in supporting the areas of training programs and raising competencies in promising sectors and information technology, to enhance entry into the labor market, in addition to supporting vocational guidance practices.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of Al-Hussein Technical University by its President, Dr. Ismail Al-Hantti, and on behalf of the Jordan River Foundation, Director-General Inaam Al-Braishi. The terms of the agreement included cooperation in exchanging knowledge to provide technical support in identifying the required digital skills and existing skill gaps, analyzing the needs of the labor market in the digital sector, contributing to the development of professional assessment and guidance tools, and designing and adapting digital training curricula and materials to ensure their compatibility with the needs of the labor market.
Through the implementation of the agreement, the two parties seek to serve young people seeking job opportunities, through paths that allow the target groups to access training programs, vocational guidance, and entrepreneurial support.
These programs include enhancing digital skills, developing practical and technical expertise, and empowering beneficiaries with available economic improvement opportunities with a focus on the information technology sector.
It is noteworthy that Al Hussein Technical University, which was established in 2016 at the initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, aims to provide education that enhances basic skills and vital specializations required in the labor market.
The university is a true supporter of education based on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and it awards intermediate university degrees and bachelor’s degrees in the fields of engineering, computer science, and others.
For its part, the Jordan River Foundation works to empower individuals, local communities and local community bodies to achieve sustainable development. This is done through a group of projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing leadership skills and integrating beneficiaries into the labor market, in addition to providing various training materials on basic life skills and financial culture.
