An industrial delegation from various industrial sectors, including 25 companies, will begin a working visit to the State of Kuwait next Monday, to discuss strengthening the two countries’ economic relations and expanding the base of their trade exchanges.

The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbir, stressed the importance of strengthening economic relations between Jordan and Kuwait, noting that although trade exchange between the two countries reached (176) million dinars during the year 2024, this number is subject to increase in light of the distinguished relationship that brings together the two brotherly countries in various fields.

He added that the delegation will discuss establishing commercial partnerships and establishing integrated industries through bilateral business meetings that will be held with a number of major commercial centers in Kuwait to meet with their managers and present samples of industrial products to them.

Al-Jaghbir pointed out that trade exchange between the two countries is concentrated in specific commodities, as Jordanian exports to Kuwait were concentrated in animal and plant products, while Jordanian imports from Kuwait were concentrated in petroleum products and their derivatives from natural gas and oils, in addition to oxygen gas, as the Kuwaiti market is considered one of the most promising export destinations for Jordanian industrial exports with a high volume of demand within the Kuwaiti market, and Jordan has important export opportunities in that market, especially with the existence of an agreement. Arab free trade, which exempts the Kingdom’s exports from customs tariffs.

Al-Jaghbir praised the cooperation of all parties in the Kingdom in facilitating the procedures for this delegation’s visit, led by the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, the Jordanian Ambassador to Kuwait, and the embassy staff. Who played a major role in arranging bilateral business meetings for the Jordanian industrial delegation with their Kuwaiti businessmen counterparts.

Al-Jaghbir explained that this visit comes after previous successful visits organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry for Jordanian industrial delegations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, during which bilateral business meetings were held with businessmen in these countries. Work will be done to organize the visit of industrial delegations in the future to many sisterly and friendly countries, as part of the Amman Chamber of Industry’s strategy to enhance the presence of Jordanian industrial products in the targeted markets.
