The Arab Women Doctors Association organizes a training course on clinical skills and medical ethics

Sarrah News – The Arab Women Doctors Association organized, today, Friday, at the Royal Cultural Center, a training course on the use of clinical skills, human aspects, and ethics that must be taken into account when examining a patient.
The president of the association, Dr. Maysam Akroush, said that the course, which coincides with the Kingdom’s celebrations of the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II, was attended by about 50 participants from medical faculties in Jordanian universities, internship students, and residents in many different specialties, and it addressed many topics, the most important of which are how to develop effective medical communication with patients, systematic clinical examination, and how to take a medical history in accordance with professional ethics.
She added that the course, whose training was supervised by experts in the medical field from various specialties and medical institutions, lasts for two days, and is held with the aim of raising the level of medical competencies, and providing medical students with the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the topics presented and to benefit from the expertise of medical teams in the specialties of internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and children, in their various branches such as the respiratory system, heart disease, glands, diabetes, digestive system, joints, nerves, and others.
She explained that the training program for the course allowed participants to use simulation methods to train on clinical breast cancer examination, as the National Breast Cancer Program provided specialized devices, equipment and cadres for these purposes.
Akroush indicated that the Association seeks, through these activities and programs that are provided free of charge and voluntarily, to achieve its humanitarian and professional goals in raising the Arab medical level, highlighting the role of women in the health sector, and supporting scientific research.
