Amman Today – The media spokesman for the Ministry of Transport, Muhammad Al-Duwairi, said that today Jordanian trucks heading to the Republic of Turkey and Greece were entered successfully through the Turkish Bab al-Hawa-Gilvagoz crossing, as a result of continuous efforts and joint and direct coordination between the Jordanian Ministry of Transport and the Turkish Ministry of Transport, after addressing all relevant customs and procedural obstacles.

Al-Duwairi said in a press statement that three Jordanian trucks entered Turkish territory this afternoon in an experimental step, and the process took place smoothly and in accordance with the approved procedures, which reflects the level of technical and administrative cooperation between the two sides, and contributes to facilitating the movement of land freight on this vital route.

He added that the entry of trucks took place directly and easily through the crossing, in a promising step that would open the way for other batches of trucks during the coming period, and enhance the smooth flow of transport and trade exchange.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Transport is following up on the issue directly with the relevant authorities on the Turkish side to ensure the continuity of traffic flow and the regular use of the crossing, and to address any operational observations immediately in a way that serves Jordanian carriers and enhances the flow of goods.
