Amman Today – Minister of Transport, Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin, confirmed that the Ministry is working to develop an attractive investment environment in the air transport sector, which opens the way for new initiatives that contribute to stimulating the national economy and providing quality job opportunities, noting that the Queen Alia International Airport development projects are an essential part of the Ministry’s strategy to enhance air connectivity between Jordan and the region.

During his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Airport Group and the Group’s CEO, in the presence of the Ministry’s Secretary General Fares Abu Dayyeh, Al-Qatamin discussed ways to develop joint cooperation and enhance investments in the air transport sector, in light of the continued expansion in passenger and regional freight traffic.

The meeting dealt with a review of existing projects and future development plans, in addition to discussing procedures that would increase operating efficiency and improve the travel experience through Queen Alia International Airport and mechanisms for dealing with the expected increase in the number of passengers and commercial flows in a way that ensures the sustainability and quality of services.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Airport International Group praised the level of cooperation existing with the Ministry of Transport, stressing the group’s commitment to implementing development plans that focus on modernizing facilities and improving the efficiency of operational operations, in line with international safety and quality standards and keeping pace with the expansion of air traffic.

This meeting comes within a series of coordination meetings aimed at strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors, and ensuring the sustainability of strategic projects in the air transport sector in a way that serves the traveler and supports the competitiveness of the Jordanian economy.
