Social development is in the process of a plan to classify charities

Today, Saturday, Minister of Social Development, Wafaa Bani Mustafa, confirmed that the ministry is in the process of developing a plan to classify charities within objective criteria that demonstrates their effectiveness and achievement of their goals and programs and contributes to their proper evaluation.
This came during a field tour today that included the Giza and Al-Muwaqqar districts in the capital, in the presence of a number of deputies, members of the provincial council, administrators of the two districts, heads and representatives of charities.
During the tour, Bani Mustafa pointed out the importance of forming coalitions between charities and merging them to enhance cooperation between them, to be able to implement productive projects that will reflect on their services and provide job opportunities.
She demonstrated the importance of effective partnership with the charitable associations sector, by examining the reality of their services and listening to their opinions, and discussing the challenges they face and aspects of cooperation and partnership with the provincial councils.
And she confirmed that the ministry has fully implemented related projects approved by the provincial councils, calling for the inclusion of housing construction projects for poor families, or their purchase or maintenance, in the budgets of the upcoming local councils.
Bani Mustafa said that the field visits aim to find out the needs of citizens and listen to them in order to improve the services of the Ministry and the National Aid Fund, indicating that they are a practical translation of the directives of His Majesty the King to see the reality of services provided to citizens and enhance opportunities for their advancement, in a way that guarantees the protection and preservation of the citizen’s dignity.
She pointed out the importance of linking the social protection strategy to the three paths of modernization, especially political modernization, indicating in this context that the ministry has been reviewing the associations law and the unions system.
During the meeting, he pointed out the importance of giving importance and support to people with disabilities, noting that the ministry will study the establishment of an early intervention unit for people with disabilities in the Giza District with the aim of providing quality services for this dear group, in partnership with one of the specialized and active associations.
And she indicated that the ministry receives requests for productive projects for families or associations wishing to form coalitions among them, and studies them for the purposes of providing support to them, pointing out that the ministry, in cooperation with the ministries of agriculture and local administration, is in the process of holding permanent exhibitions to market products to productive families.
She said that the Ministerial Committee for Women’s Empowerment, which is chaired by the Minister of Social Development, has started a project to establish electronic stores with the aim of enabling and assisting productive families to market their products.
She added that the targeting formula adopted to obtain support from the National Aid Fund aims to reach the poorest families, and has led to an expansion of the base of beneficiaries of the Fund’s services, especially with regard to productive families and beneficiaries of the training and rehabilitation programs provided by the Fund.
During her field tour, Bani Mustafa visited the Central Badia Women’s Association in the town of Natel, and was briefed on its services. She also inspected the Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Center for Information Technology and Community Service in the Muwaqqar District, and was briefed on the kindergarten programs and education support at the center, and its training courses in the field of sewing and beautification and the knowledge station.
During her meeting, Bani Musafi called on a number of women trainees, after completing their training, to benefit from obtaining loan portfolios to establish productive projects within the framework of the agreement between the Ministry and the Development and Employment Fund, which targets women in all governorates of the Kingdom.
The minister’s tour also included a visit to the Mansheyat Al-Qudah Association for Social Development, where she was briefed on the association’s projects.
