The Deputy Head of the Teachers Syndicate, Nasser Al-Nawasra, was surprised by the recent statements of Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh regarding the Teachers Syndicate file.
Al-Nawasra commented on Al-Khasawneh’s statement, in which he said that the teachers’ union case is before the judiciary, considering that the statement is inaccurate, calling on the Prime Minister to update his information on this file.
He said, “Today, there is no case before the judiciary concerning the teachers’ syndicate, as the final judicial decision was issued by the Court of Appeal more than a year ago.” According to this decision, the government must open the syndicate’s headquarters and hold elections to choose the fifth council.
Al-Nawasra accused the government of procrastinating in opening the headquarters of the Teachers Syndicate and holding elections for more than a year, stressing the need for the government to respect “final judicial decisions and implement them without delay or procrastination.”
He explained that the government should set an example for everyone in applying the provisions of the law and judicial decisions, and not implementing the provisions, as it gives justifications to others to evade the application of the law.
