The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the tearing up of a copy of the Holy Quran by an extremist in the Swedish capital Stockholm today, Thursday, under the protection of the Swedish authorities.

The Ministry affirmed the need to respect religious symbols, and to stop all acts and practices that fuel hatred and discrimination, and that the Swedish authorities again allowing this extremist to attack the Holy Qur’an is an unacceptable behavior that stirs up sedition and threatens peaceful coexistence, and cannot be considered a form of freedom of expression at all, warning To continue to allow such irresponsible behavior and actions.
